Shipping Days: Products ordered Monday, Tuesday and until cut-off time on Wednesday will offer all available shipping options. (See "notes" on product page to determine each item's cut-off time). Products ordered after cut-off time on Wednesday or anytime on Thursday or Friday will offer only expedited shipping options to ensure that your purchase arrives before the weekend (or on Saturday if available).
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, determined by carriers. Sunday deliveries are not available.
Restrictions: At this time 1-800 DESSERT does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, international destinations, US territories or to P.O. boxes.
Damages: Refunds or replacements will only be given if your order comes damaged. Claims must be made within 10 days of receipt of package. All packaging should be kept in case the shipping company needs to inspect the package.
Late Delivery: If your order arrives late due to a shipping company delay you will be credited for shipping charges. This does NOT apply to delays due to weather or delivery attempts that are unsuccessful.
Hospital Deliveries: Deliveries to hospitals are not recommended. Since these shipments normally go to a general receiving department before being routed to the patients room we do not guarantee hospital deliveries. Sorry, no refunds will be given if the patient checks out or cannot be located.
Wrong Address: Orders sent to a wrong or incomplete address are not guaranteed. Additional fees apply to fix and forward the package to the correct address.
Perishables: Food items and perishables cannot be returned.
Storage and Handling: To insure the freshness and quality of our fine desserts, most are flash frozen and all are carefully packaged in sturdy boxes. Cakes, pies and tarts may be shipped with dry ice or gel packs. When they arrive the dry ice will usually have evaporated, and the dessert will be semi-thawed. If you would like to re-freeze for future use, you can do so. Keep it well wrapped in its original box and store in the freezer up to a month. Remove any interior plastic wrap before thawing in the refrigerator 2-4 hours. If dessert is completely thawed upon arrival, refrigerate and serve within 2 days. All desserts can be stored in the refrigerator 2-3 days. If dry ice still remains in box upon arrival, USE POTHOLDER OR GLOVES TO REMOVE, DO NOT TOUCH WITH BARE HANDS!
